The applicant is expected to have a PhD in engineering education with significant experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods. PhD holders of other areas in STEM education, educational psychology, future studies, engineering, and/or business (in particular entrepreneurship or leadership) who have keen interest in engineering education are welcomed to apply. In either case, applicants must demonstrate a strong research record. Master holders with a very good research record might be considered, however, a Master holder will be appointed as a Research Associate. Excellent English oral and written communication skills is essential, knowledge of Arabic is preferable but not a must.
A Postdoctoral fellowship in engineering education is available at the College of Engineering, Qatar University, Qatar. The postdoc will be responsible for planning/conducting research, data collection & analysis, and writing up findings for a couple of engineering education initiatives taking place at the College. This will mainly include (but not limited to): 1 ) A recently funded project for investigating necessary skills of future engineers in the local context of Qatar 2 ) Two engineering outreach programs for high school students
