The IES program has been established at Risø DTU in 2010 in order to strengthen and focus the research in this field. The programs contribute to research in energy systems with a high degree of stochastic energy, interconnected to other energy systems, architecture, technologies and systems. Modeling of electricity markets, using high level mathematical methods, taking into account the stochastic nature of renewable energy is one of the key elements. The research is carried out in corporation with other universities, utilities and industry, and participation in international activities will be expected.
The applicants should have: -PhD degree (or equivalent) -Experience in development and use of energy system models -Strong mathematical background -Preferably experience within operation research e.g. optimization models and statistics -Knowledge on energy systems and technologies
