You perform molecular and cell biological research into the interaction between auxin, cell division and cell expansion during the growth of the leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana. The work is supported by expertise from the experimental research group “Molecular Plant Physiology and Biotechnology” in the field of cell cycle regulation and kinematic analysis of growth and the research group “Planth Growth and Development” in the field of hormonal regulation and cell expansion You supervise three PhD students that specialize in one of the three subtopics and you collaborate closely with the Post-Doctoral fellow that is to be appointed in the Computational Science to develop simulation models. You participate in the teaching and research support within the department of Biology. This entails limited involvement in the practical courses and the guidance of BSc and MSc projects. You apply for external funding in the context of this research project.
