Doctoral Position in Plant Production and Stress Tolerance (PeSTo) at University of Antwerp, Belgium 2012

· You contribute to teaching and research in the field of Plant production and Stress tolerance; · You will be assigned following lecturing duties Geographic information systems (5 sp), Forestry (6 sp) and set up and organize the Integrated Lab Land and Forestry management; · You will compete to obtain external research funds in the area of bio monitoring of plant atmosphere interactions related to air pollution or domesticationof underestimated (sub)tropical trees, both in relation to ecophysiology; · You are engaged in the organisation of the department and recruitment activities; · You are willing to represent the research group in Belgium and abroad.

You hold (or get during the application period) a doctoral degree (PhD) in Bio-science engineering, Engineering and Science; -You have proven track record in Land and Forestry management preferably concerning bio monitoring of plant atmosphere interactions related to air pollution or domestification of underestimated (sub)tropical trees, both in relation to ecophysiology; -You have knowledge and experience with international and national fund raising; -The emphases in your teaching correspond to the UA educational vision; – You are quality-oriented, conscientious, creative, customer-oriented and cooperative;
