ACI Foundation Graduate Scholarship for International Students, 2015/2016

ACI Foundation has invited applications for graduate scholarship to study at an accredited college or university in an engineering, architecture, or materials science program. Applications will be accepted from anywhere in the world but the graduate program must be ABET-accredited or a mutually recognized program by ABET. Applicants must be full-time first- or second-year (after bachelor’s degree) graduate students during the entire scholarship year. Each graduate scholarship except Stewart C, Watson Memorial Scholarship Award is valued at $3000 for a period of one year. Closing date for application is 15, October, 2014.. The ACI Foundation Scholarship Council is responsible for collecting and distributing funds for the ACI Foundation’s Fellowship and Scholarship Programs. ACI Foundation Fellowships and Scholarships are offered to high-potential undergraduate and graduate students whose studies relate to the concrete industry. These graduate scholarships include: Kumar Mehta Scholarship Award, Katharine and Bryant Mather Scholarship Award, ACI Bertold E. Weinberg Scholarship Award, ACI Scholarship Award, ACI Schwing America Scholarship Award, Stewart C, Watson Memorial Scholarship Award, W. Gene Corley Scholarship..  Scholarship is available for graduate study at an accredited college or university.
The research areas of this scholarship are:  Scholarship is awarded in an engineering, architecture, or materials science program. The graduate study program shall be in the area of concrete with an emphasis on structural design, materials, construction, or any combination thereof. Applicants for the Kumar Mehta Scholarship must be pursuing graduate research in sustainable concrete. The graduate program must be ABET-accredited or a mutually recognized program by ABET.
Who can apply to this scholarship? At the time of receiving an ACI Foundation Scholarship (not necessarily at the time of application), the applicant shall possess a bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher education which is accredited by the responsible regional or national agency.
· At the time of acceptance of an ACI Foundation Scholarship (not necessarily at the time of application), the applicant shall have been accepted for graduate study at an accredited college or university in an engineering, architecture, or materials science program. The graduate study program shall be in the area of concrete with an emphasis on structural design, materials, construction, or any combination thereof. Applicants for the Kumar Mehta Scholarship must be pursuing graduate research in sustainable concrete.

Benefits of the scholarship: Each graduate scholarship except Stewart C, Watson Memorial Scholarship Award is valued at $3000 each. Stewart C, Watson Memorial Scholarship Award consists of a cash stipend of $5000. Scholarships may be partially funded through multiple donations, or entirely by a single donation.
